Additional field properties

Additional properties are provided for some fields in the constructor. They will help to set the rules by which the user should fill the form. These can be numerical limits, file format and size restrictions.

Selection Fields

For the «One from list» and «Multiple from list» fields, there is an option to «Shuffle responses». To do this, in the «Basic Settings» panel, activate the switch so that each time a form or quiz is opened, the options are displayed in random order

In addition, you can add an «Other» option for the «One from List» and «Multiple from List» fields.

Add at least one option for the field, and a toggle appears in the «Basic Settings» panel. Activate it. The option will then appear in the options pane. Specify a title and click the Save button

Clicking on this option will open a text box where the user can enter their answer

In the «One from List» and «Dropdown List» fields, you can set a default option. This is useful when selecting a value for the most common option. This feature will help if the field is not mandatory and the user has not selected an option and has moved on to the next step of the quiz or submitted the form. Then the default option will be automatically substituted after clicking the button

Number

In the «Number» field it is possible to set numeric limits. Specify the minimum and maximum number, as well as the number of digits after the decimal point to prevent the user from sending data that does not meet the condition.

If the limits are exceeded, a tooltip with the necessary values will be displayed.

If the number of digits after the decimal point is exceeded, a warning about the wrong format will be displayed

File upload

For the «File upload» field it is possible to set the maximum size of one file that the user can upload. At the same time it is not allowed to set the limits less than 1 Mb or more than 20 Mb.

You can also allow uploading several files at once. To do this, activate the corresponding switch in the «Field Properties» panel. In this case, the total size of files uploaded by the user should not exceed 100 Mb, and their number should not exceed ten.

If the user exceeds the limit in the size or number of files, a warning message will appear in the form

In addition, the «File Upload» field has a «File Types» panel where you can mark the file formats that are allowed to upload. If you try to attach a file of an incorrect format, a warning message will appear.

By default, all formats are allowed

Date

You can set boundary values for the «Date» field. Then, when opening the calendar, only those dates that are within the boundaries will be active

In addition, there is an option to base the interval on the current date.

Activate the «Date cannot be less than the current date» switch, then the interval will be based on the current date and will be shifted when a new day occurs

Activate the «Date cannot be greater than the current date» switch so that the maximum date value comes from the current day. For example, if you want to ask the user's opinion about the quality of a service and ask them to specify the date they used it. Or, for example, you need to get a recording from video cameras. Then a request is sent and the date for which the record is needed is specified

Time

You can set boundary values for the «Time» field. Then only those values that are within the boundaries will be active when specifying the time

Text block

You can enter HTML tags in the «Text block» field. This will give you the opportunity to extend the form markup with your own elements.

Image

You can add images separately using the «Image» field. The default width of the image will be equal to the width of the form

But in the «Basic Settings» panel of this field, you can specify your own width and height values. You can also specify Alt-text, which is used in SEO to promote images and the site as a whole
